Rotational Programs

We offer rotational programs across six business areas, where you’ll gain invaluable experience on a diverse range of assignments over several years.

Each program is designed to help you advance your career as you work closely with a range of managers invested in your development. After completing one of these programs, you will have the tools to make an informed decision on a career path that’s right for you.

Engineering Field Program

The DuPont Field Engineering Program recruits newly graduated, top-performing engineers to start on a successful long-term career. The program empowers recent graduates to gain a broad perspective and valuable experience at various DuPont sites.

The program requires a minimum of two assignments of two to three years each, allowing engineers to train, develop, and grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to DuPont’s bottom line.

Early Career Development assignments for engineers typically fall within three areas:

- Production/Plant
- Design
- Research & Development

Manufacturing Technical/Process Engineering (Production)

You’ll provide technical support to a production area. This may include improving a manufacturing process by increasing product yield, quality, or equipment utilization, or aiding in short-term process or product development programs.

Project & Design (Design)

During the Project & Design assignment, you’ll implement capital projects to improve current facilities or build new ones. Your responsibilities will include reviewing basic data, developing project justification and scopes, coordinating design, and managing project construction.

Engineering Consulting (Design)

You’ll provide engineering consulting and support services to DuPont businesses globally, in support of top-line growth and asset-effectiveness improvement programs. You'll use detailed problem analysis to address complex technical problems, make recommendations, and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing program proposals, managing budgets, executing programs, and documenting results.

 Research & Development

You’ll apply engineering principles to fundamental research on new processes and products, as well as work to improve and diversify our existing product lines. You’ll use laboratory, pilot plant, or full-scale production tests to drive advances in process technology and products.

Finance Field Program

Our finance organization is widely recognized as a corporate leader. This program offers you a best-in-class experience, flexibility, and training through rotational assignments during the first five to six years of your career.

Assignments in the Finance Field Program may include a variety of controllership accounting roles, tax, credit, treasury or business analysis positions. You’ll be able to explore career directions based on your strengths and interests. Tenure in each assignment, while in the program, empowers you to take full responsibility for the work and gain a deeper understanding of each aspect of finance.

The Finance Field Program is dedicated to developing successful professionals and future leaders through challenging assignments, personalized career paths, and mentoring from experienced finance professionals.

Most initial assignments are in Wilmington, Delaware, with occasional opportunities for relocation. Secondary assignments depend on individual skill, interest, and business need. Finance has a presence in every DuPont plant site, business unit, function, and major subsidiary in the US and around the world.

Supply Chain and Global Procurement Development Program

Few international programs rival our Supply Chain & Global Procurement Program. The program requires a commitment of three to five years and will give you two to three assignments in different locations or business units. During your program, you’ll work with a variety of different teams and managers.

Opportunities include buying and implementing various commodity supply strategies, optimizing logistics networks, scheduling our assets, and continuously improving supply chain policies, processes, and systems, and more.

We're looking for talented, business-minded college students who are geographically flexible throughout the U.S. for the duration of the program. Rotation locations include Wilmington, Delaware, Richmond, Virginia, various Midwest locations, and more.

As a program member, you’ll be exposed to the following roles:

Supply Chain

- Asset Scheduler
- Materials Planner
